HellOoOo there!
Since you somehow ended up here, Iâll take that as a green flag meaning I must have set a few things right and let the system do its thing. Jokes aside, youâre probably one of those uninterested people who got bored of the previous post and then immediately clicked on another one with the exact same topic.Â
(If that made no sense - perfect. The explanation is waiting for you at the very end of the previous post. Yes, I literally told you.)
Sooo letâs start by sharing opinions absolutely no one asked for and see if I can find my mind-mates!Â
How to tell twins apart?
âHow can we tell you apart?â is one of the most frequently asked questions, usually coming right after the first few words of meeting us (or any pair of twins, really). There can be slight physical differences: birthmarks, face shape, nose shape, and other tiny body details. But there are also more practical clues, like the colors of clothes we usually wear (T-shirts, pants, hoodies, sneakers⊠you name it), or accessories such as glasses, watches, hairpins, earrings, backpacks - basically, the everyday hints people tend to miss while panicking over identical faces.

There are also behavioral differences, which are actually a pretty good way to tell twins apart. One twin might be talkative while the other is a bit more reserved; one can be stricter while the other is more lenient; one might be neat and organized while the other is⊠less committed to cleanliness; or one can be more relaxed while the other is noticeably more nervous.
When I feel like joking, I usually say people can tell us apart by the fact that one of us has an appendix and the other doesnât (hehee), or that one has better eyesight than the other (ââ _â ) â little details like that.
I think many twins donât really enjoy being asked to stand side by side so people can compare them and hunt for visual differences. At least for me, itâs pretty annoying. It often feels like they start assigning âbetterâ features to one twin and âless luckyâ ones to the other and then casually point them out, as if thatâs supposed to be funny. Spoiler alert: it usually isnât. Still, not exactly a reason to get mad⊠just mildly irritating, at best.
All twins differ from one another and thatâs actually the most interesting part of being a twin. You can be the silliest tandem anyone around has ever seen and still manage to make someoneâs day. At the same time, you can turn into a reliable help center people feel comfortable reaching out to, because youâve shown them youâre a safe, stable place they can always visit. Iâm speaking only from the situation my sister and I share, and Iâm aware that, unfortunately, there are many twin pairs in the world who donât have this kind of harmony or blessing.

But I also believe there are twins like the two of us out there and I hope there will be more of them. It feels almost healing for society to have souls that choose positivity and show an example of genuine togetherness, the kind that gently shifts our often sad state of awareness when it comes to empathy and belief in good.
Twin Telepathy: Something Real⊠or Just Complete Foolishness?
People usually ask, âHave you ever experienced twin telepathy?â and in my case, I donât have a straightforward answer. I do know a few examples that could be considered real telepathy and might support the idea, but honestly, there arenât many of them.Â

One case I know of comes from a story my mom told me. Her colleague (a man) has a twin sister who was pregnant, and when it was time for her to give birth, he suddenly started experiencing intense, unexplained pain - cramps around his stomach and down his legs. They were living separately, and she had no idea that he was going through something even worse than she was, for no obvious reason (or⊠maybe there was one ;) ). Naturally, he went to the hospital, but doctors couldnât find anything wrong. All the tests came back normal so they just kept giving him painkillers. And then, right after his sister gave birth, his pain disappeared shortly after.
Itâs a true story and definitely makes you think there might be something to it, but even so, I still canât fully believe it. And yes, thatâs coming from a twin.
There arenât just physical examples of this, there are verbal ones too. Sometimes words arenât even needed, and one twin knows exactly how the other feels, thinks, or is about to act. Itâs not something only twins experience; siblings, best friends, or anyone whoâs been close long enough can reach a similar level of understanding. The difference is that a twinâs so-called verbal and psychological telepathy comes instinctively and we donât really have to develop it. Maybe that sounds stupid, maybe not, but I said what I said. Feel free to continue living with it.
I believe thereâs a special kind of synchronization and connection between twins mostly because I can feel it myself. There have been moments between my sister and me that genuinely shocked even us and were pretty cool⊠but, unfortunately, no one was there to witness them. Of course. For example, we once drew exactly the same questions and calculation task on an exam; we also tend to walk perfectly in sync (weâve tried to change it, but it never works); or weâll randomly choose the same outfit without any coordination. These examples came to mind pretty quickly, so I wrote them down and thatâs more than enough to prove my point.
To be continued...
Enough opinion-sharing for this post. See you in the next one if you still have some goodwill and energy left by the end of this one. But letâs be honest, youâll probably just take a short break and read it later anyway (XD). Bye!
